Freue dich, Welt

1.      Freue dich Welt, dein König naht. Mach deine Tore weit.

Joy to the World!

1.         Joy to the world! The Lord is come; / let earth receive her king. / Let ev'ry heart prepare him room, / and heaven and nature sing, / and heaven and nature sing, / and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.

2.         Joy to the world! The Saviour reigns; / let men their songs employ; / while fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains / repeat the sounding joy, / repeat the sounding joy, / repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

3.         No more let sin and sorrow grow, / nor thorns infest the ground. / He comes to make his blessings flow / far as the curse is found, / far as the curse is found, / far as, far as the curse is found.

4.         He rules the world with truth and grace, / and makes the nations prove / the glories of his righteousness, / and wonders of his love, / and wonders of his love, / and wonders, wonders of his love.
